Kelley LacosteCondolences to the family and friends of rodeo clown/bull fighter Kelley Lacoste. Kelley lost his battle wiith cancer May 11.

Raised on a cross bred Brahma ranch outside Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Kelley attended the University of Tennessee on a football scholarship. The sport of rodeo also beckoned the talented athlete. While he started out his rodeo career as a bull dogger, Kelley soon turned his attention to bull fighting and clowning rodeos. Kelley came to Canada in the early '70's when he signed on to work for Saskatchewan stock contractor Jerry Myers. The 'cajun cowboy' worked for many major contractors during his career... and was selected to work the Canadian Finals Rodeo five times in the '70's-'80's as a bull fighter and from 1991-1993 as a barrel man/clown.

There will be a service for Kelley on May 27 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
