TOUR FINALE FORMAT 2025:
- The top 20 contestants from the 2025 SMS Equipment Pro Tour will qualify for the 2025 Tour Finale in Armstrong during the IPE Rodeo.
- As the Tour does not finalize until the weekend before the IPE the CPRA will make best efforts to confirm as many as mathematically possible in advance.
- There will be two pools of contestants (Pool A and Pool B) consisting of 10 in each event.
- The top 3 times and scores from both Pool A and B will advance to Saturday’s Finale
- Additionally, the top two “point earners” from the 2025 Season Tour standings that did not qualify from their Pool will also advance to Saturday’s Finale regardless of Pool results.
- These two contestants must have competed in their Pool.
- The remaining twelve contestants will move to the Friday Wildcard round with the top two from the Wildcard advance to Saturday’s Finale.
- Saturday’s Finale will consist of 10 contestants that will compete once with the top four being paid per the pay structure in Schedule ‘C’.
- The Highest Score or Fastest Run on Saturday Night will be named the 2025 Tour Champion.
Note: 10 contestants will be placed in the first two performances (Pool A and Pool B) each using a priority list that will provide those pre-qualified (after Dawson Creek) 1st priority- but still randomized in order from this group. The number of this first group will vary by event as it will be based on those that are mathematically qualified and will be as large a group as possible.
GROUND RULES:
- Turn outs/Alternate Procedure: Contestants who have originally entered and were eligible at time of entry but were drawn out will be added to an alternate list. These contestants will be notified of any turnout or doctor releases and be given the option of re-entry up to the 24 hours prior to rodeo turnout deadline. If stock has already been drawn, they will draw stock from a pool of animals consisting of all turned out stock and all re-ride stock for their performance.
- If a contestant notifies a turn-out, DR, or visible release and is replaced by an alternate, the alternate contestant will be responsible for the entry fee. If the contestant that notified the turn-out or visible release is not replaced by an alternate, they will be responsible for the entry fee. If the contestant presents a proper doctor’s release, they will not be responsible for entry fees.
- The spares will be used in the case of a re-run. Will not run cattle back in the timed events.
