January 18, 2024 – G-65 Grated Coconut was legendary on both sides of the border. Ranch-raised by the Calgary Stampede, the bay stallion was a 6 X Canadian and 6 X World Bareback Champion; 5 X CFR Bareback Horse, and the 2008 Best Bareback Horse of the NFR.
An inductee to both the PRCA and Canadian Halls of Fame, the outstanding athlete enjoyed a stellar arena career of his own before being retired to the Stampede Ranch at Hanna, AB where he went on to sire many great Champions.
The 27 year old four-legged superstar – who found his way into the hearts of many – passed away this week at the ranch. Our thoughts are with Stampede staff, cowboys and all our rodeo friends.
