CPRA Extends Condolences to the Lamb Family

Gary Lamb

Our thoughts are with Kody Lamb and his family as they say farewell to family man, long time rodeo supporter and friend to the sport, Gary Lamb, who passed away January 31, 2026, at the age of 61.

Gary is lovingly remembered by his wife Sherry (43 years together, 37+ married) daughter Kallie (Scott; children Case and Baylee), son Kody as well as Gary’s sister Brenda (Tom), brother Terry along with extended family, friends and fellow rodeo fans.

Gary rode a few bareback horses in the ’80s in the MRCA though not professionally. He and his wife were CFR six/five pack ticket holders every year since the mid-’90s and attended every performance of the CFR for 30+ years. Over the last decade, Gary and Sherry particularly enjoyed cheering on Kody who earned his eighth CFR qualification in 2025 and the Canadian Bareback Championship a year earlier.

Gary enjoyed travelling with his wife to numerous rodeos, barrel races, gymkhanas and anything else that might come along, while supporting his children and grandchildren. He was a dedicated CCA, EIA, YEG employee for 31 years.  In his free time, Gary enjoyed spending time outside, tinkering in his garage, haying and keeping his yard immaculate.
