Rodeo Committees, and the volunteers who work on the 60+ events that comprise the annual Canadian Professional Rodeo Association roster, are the backbone of our sport. During the Canadian Finals, rodeo committees come together at the CPRA Committee Convention to review the rodeo season, share ideas, network and learn about supports and options available to them. The convention also offers some time to celebrate the events (and volunteers) that/who labour all year round to host and present the outstanding and varied array of rodeos and special events under the CPRA flag.
Congratulations to all CPRA rodeo and special event committees with particular mention of those organizations and individuals who received an annual Committee award. Winners are decided by a fully carded contestant members’ vote near the end of the season other than the Committee Person of the Year and Rodeo of the Year awards which are determined through a nomination process and selection committee.
