FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Regina, SK – Canadian Western Agribition (CWA) is proud to open night one of the Maple Leaf Circuit Finals Rodeo, presented by BHP, marking the start of four nights of elite rodeo action inside the Brandt Centre. CWA and the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association (CPRA) are also proud to announce the renewal of this partnership for another five years, securing the Maple Leaf Circuit Finals Rodeo in Regina through 2030.

“There’s nothing quite like the excitement of the four nights of rodeo at Agribition,” said Shaun Kindopp, CWA’s CEO. “It brings people together and creates an atmosphere you can’t find anywhere else. It’s a signature piece of Agribition and we’re proud to host it for another five years.”

The Maple Leaf Circuit Finals brings forward the top 10 athletes in each of the major CPRA rodeo events. Contestants earn their place throughout the season by accumulating points at Maple Leaf Circuit rodeos across Western and Central Canada.

With CPRA inputs and entry fees included, the total payout for this year’s Finals climbs to nearly $220,000, making it one of the highest paid rodeos in Canada. Champions will also earn the opportunity to compete at the NFR Open in Colorado Springs.

As the Finals get underway, CPRA emphasized the significance of this partnership renewal and CWA’s role in elevating the championship.

“We’re proud to extend our partnership with Canadian Western Agribition,” said Denny Phipps, CEO of CPRA. “The outstanding Agribition fans create a great atmosphere that the athletes love, and Agribition delivers a world-class production for this championship event.”

Phipps added, “The renewed partnership ensures continued growth in prize money across the contract, boosting what our cowboys and cowgirls can take home at the end of the Maple Leaf Circuit Finals.”

Tonight’s performance is Free Admission Night, and will showcase Indigenous cultural performances, offering an accessible and meaningful way for fans to experience one of the most prestigious rodeo events in Canada. Today’s event will also feature the crowning of the new Miss Rodeo Agribition. Free admission is offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and fans are encouraged to arrive early to secure their seats. Doors open at 5:45 PM, with the performance starting at 6:45 PM.

“The Maple Leaf Circuit Finals showcases the absolute best in Canadian rodeo,” said Kylie Beck, Director of Livestock and Rodeo at CWA. “These athletes have worked all season to earn their spot here, and the level of performance, and energy inside the Brandt Centre is nothing short of amazing. Fans are in for an unforgettable night.”
