Molle and Robbins Bring Their A Game to Saskatchewan

While there were solid performances in virtually every event on the first night, one that clearly resonated with the enthusiastic Brandt Centre crowd was that of barrel racer Blake Molle. The Chauvin, Alberta talent was the only competitior to get under the 14 second plateau as she navigated the cloverleaf pattern in 13.97. The two-time CFR qualifier rode JJ for the first round win and set the bar for the rest of a star-studded field of competitors.

Bull Rider Coy Robbins has enjoyed success at the Maple Leaf Circuit Finals before and if night number one of the showcase event at Regina’s 2025 edition of the Canadian Western Agribition is any indication, it would appear that the 2022 Champion is intent on repeating a little history.

The Camrose, Alberta cowboy got his Finals off to a big-time start with an outstanding 87-point ride on the Cody Strandquist bull J929 Slip Knot for a first-place cheque of $1707.20. The solid beginning for Robbins and other qualifiers is critical as the Circuit Finals comprises just four rounds and an aggregate, so getting the jump on the rest of the field, especially in the physically punishing bull riding event, is critical to any competitor’s chances for success.

Overall, the Maple Leaf Circuit features 10 top contestants in each of the eight major rodeo events, decided by monies earned through the season at Maple Leaf Circuit rodeos. During Canadian Western Agribition, the Maple Leaf Circuit Finals runs over four nights (Nov 26-29, 2025) with a total purse of close to $220,000. The Finals qualifies two athletes in each event (the MLC Finals aggregate champion and the overall Maple Leaf Circuit champion) for the NFR Open in Colorado Springs in July, 2025. And monies won at Regina also count toward the 2026 Pro Rodeo Canada season standings.
