Ground Rules
1. Slack will be at 8:00am both days, the slack order for Thursday ONLY is SW, TDR, TR, LBR.
2. SB, BB, BR, LBR – one go round with finals. The top ten (10) in each event will compete in the short go Sunday June 21.
3. SB, BB, BR – Maximum of forty-eight (48) contestants. If more than forty-eight (48) contestants enter in these events, the 2016 CPRA standings, blended with the 2016 PRCA standings will be used to determine draw-outs.
4. SW, TDR, TR – Two (2) go rounds with a final. The top ten (10) on 2 head will complete in the short go on Sunday June 25.
5. All horses are to be kept outside of the rodeo arena one hour prior and during slack, and while tractor is in the infield. Only the next contestant to go is to have their horse(s) in the arena.
6. First (1st) go in the SW, TDR, TR, will be held Wednesday June 21 at 8:00am.
7. Enter for second (2nd) go, position will be reversed for first (1st) go.
8. Second (2nd) go trades permitted.
9. LBR – No Semi Pros or Permits permitted.
10. Once a paid performance has started, the arena will not be disced or harrowed.
11. $4,000 will be held out in each of the six (6) major events, and $6,000 in the Team Roping for the finals.
12. An additional $50 will be added to all fees except the Steer Riding to be added to the finals money to a maximum of $4,000 (including committee purse). Remainder to be split between go-rounds and average.
13. Four (4) moneys to be paid in Short Go.
14. No finals in the Steer Riding.
15. Pre-conditioning of cattle will be Tuesday June 20 @ 7:00pm.
16. No portable pens to be erected until after completion of slack Thursday June 23. Failure to comply will result in two hundred and fifty dollar fine ($250).
17. Top ten (10) ties will be broken by the current Canadian standings as of June 23, 2017.

Turning out of Finals:

a) Contestants who turn out of finals must notify the local rodeo office by Sunday June 25, 2017 no later than 12:00pm noon MDT.
b) A two hundred and fifty dollar ($250) turn out fine will apply if a contestant fails to notify by specified time.
c) Contestants who are a notified turn out or contestants who are unavailable at the start of the section of their events will be replaced by the next available contestant; nest is identified by the 2017 Wainwright Stampede Standings.
d) SB, BB, BR, TDR, SW, TR, LBR – Wainwright Stampede reserves the right to roll contestants into the Finals (to total 10 contestants) in the event of turn outs. In case of ties between 11-12 etc. Tie breaker rules decide the next contestant into the finals due to turnouts will be as follows:
  i. SB, BB, BR, TDR, SW, TR, LBR – the current Canadian standings as of June 23, 2017, will be used to break any ties for the ten (10) contestants/event in finals.
e) Contestants who are rolled into the finals due to turnouts must have a qualified ride/time.

Contestant Information
1. Infield track gate will be closed Thursday and Friday at 4:00pm sharp.
2. Buckles in all events.
